Barry Strick and Michele Bailie have partnered to create Post Production South Africa. Barry’s extensive experience in post production and his industry network is complemented by Michele’s professional accounting skills and experience of working with production companies – so not only offering easy administration for production but allows editors and other post creatives to focus on the creative and hand over the time consuming and distracting admin!
Barry Strick
Barry’s career in the film industry spans over twenty five years – fifteen of those working at facilities in both Johannesburg and Cape Town. Barry works now as a freelance Post Production Supervisor and Producer and has extensive knowledge of the post production talent available in the marketplace and has an understanding of production’s requirements too. Most recently Barry has post supervised the “The Forgiven” starring Oscar winner Forest Whitaker and directed by Roland Joffé (The Mission, The Killing Fields) and the final series of 3x ninety minute episodes of BBC series “Wallander”, post produced entirely in Cape Town for Left Bank Pictures (The Crown, DCI Banks, Strikeback) and he has produced his first feature film “Twee Grade van Moord” (Two degrees of murder).
Michele Bailie
Michele is a Professional Accountant (SA), member of SAIPA and registered Tax practitioner, and has worked for the past ten years in the film industry – first at one of Cape Town’s leading facilities and currently works with several post production companies, so has an extensive understanding of the mechanics of accounting and taxation in the film industry.
